Bribing Obama Pays Off Again

AP just filed a story, entitled, “Obama taps more big donors for ambassadorships“, reporting on four big Democratic Party donors/fundraisers who were just appointed by Obama to the nice comfortable positions of ambassadors. Each of those contributed the maximum allowed donation (or close to it) to Obama’s campaign, as well as raising several hundred thousand dollars each for the Democratic Party (with one exception).
When you read something like this, you can’t help but wonder one of two things (or both):
- How much more overt can bribery possibly become in politics without anyone batting an eyelash?
- Exactly how unnecessary are these ambassadorships that the only qualification necessary to become an ambassador is greasing the chief and his cronies?
Obama’s appointment of these big-money donors and fundraisers as ambassadors really underscores the superfluousnous of that position and makes one wonder if our tax dollars are really well-spent in paying the salaries of these ambassadors, their staff, their housing, their security, their travel, their perks, etc.
What happened to his inaugural speech where he talked about our tough times and said that it’s time for the American people to “put away childish things”? What happened to the “serious sacrifices” he preached to get us through these tough times? Apparently, those sacrifices apply only to the proletariat, and not to him and his cronies, who can still get fat off our tax dollars.

I previously posted about the latest rash of scandalous photos coming out of Afghanistan showing U.S. military atrocities under Obama’s command, and wondering if the media would pick up on it the way they did when it was Bush’s army… Well, here’s a twist I wasn’t expecting: yes, one of the U.S. media, Rolling Stone, [...]
Jeffrey Goldberg, a correspondent for the Atlantic, cast a spotlight on yet another disgustingly overt example of pure bias in the mainstream media, particularly at the anti-Semitic Reuters newswire. He points to a Reuters news item which contains the following despicable sentences: Police said it was a “terrorist attack” — Israel’s term for a Palestinian [...]
In the [sparse] reporting of the Palestinians’ massacre of the Fogel family, several newspapers stand out with their distorted sense of “balance”, i.e., where they feel overwhelmingly uncomfortable describing the barbarity of the Palestinians without at least taking a swipe or two at the Israelis, no matter how patently irrelevant or disgustingly disrespectful it comes [...]
