Sarkozy’s New Crusade Against Burqas

Breitbart is reporting an AP story about Sarkozy’s new crusade against burqas, where he is commissioning a panel to study the growing burqa trend in France. Even more surprising, Sarkozy came out with the strong political (and politically incorrect) statement that that “the burqa is not a religious sign, it’s a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement… it will not be welcome on the territory of the French Republic.”
Now, while this is a nice development for the Fifth Republic, it just seems like too little too late. Instead of taking a hard look at all the Muslim fanatics (some of whom are undoubtedly terrorists) that France has been admitting and harboring for quite a few years now—the source of the newly-unacceptable burqa—he chooses to instead wake up now and look at the product of France’s dangerous immigration policies.
When Muslims were burning down half of the capital not too long ago, it didn’t seem to shake anyone up enough to look at the growing Muslic fanatic problem. When Muslims turned up the anti-Semitism from mere rhetoric to numerous physical assaults against Jews, most of them disgustingly and heinously inhuman, France wanted to sweep it all under the carpet without even calling many of them by the hate-crime label they clearly deserved.
So, what is it about the burqa that is finally making the president of France come out with such strong, harsh words and to actually commission panels? And, the more serious follow-up question: can this finally open their lethargic, heavy-lidded eyes to the growing Muslim fanatic problem that they have in their country? Or will they wait until the Muslims are finally in the majority and sharia law is voted in?

I previously posted about the latest rash of scandalous photos coming out of Afghanistan showing U.S. military atrocities under Obama’s command, and wondering if the media would pick up on it the way they did when it was Bush’s army… Well, here’s a twist I wasn’t expecting: yes, one of the U.S. media, Rolling Stone, [...]
Jeffrey Goldberg, a correspondent for the Atlantic, cast a spotlight on yet another disgustingly overt example of pure bias in the mainstream media, particularly at the anti-Semitic Reuters newswire. He points to a Reuters news item which contains the following despicable sentences: Police said it was a “terrorist attack” — Israel’s term for a Palestinian [...]
In the [sparse] reporting of the Palestinians’ massacre of the Fogel family, several newspapers stand out with their distorted sense of “balance”, i.e., where they feel overwhelmingly uncomfortable describing the barbarity of the Palestinians without at least taking a swipe or two at the Israelis, no matter how patently irrelevant or disgustingly disrespectful it comes [...]
