Haifa University: No Jews Allowed

In an absolutely unbelievable story, Haifa University hosted an Islamic extremist speaker, Sheikh Raed Salah, to speak on its campus and, as if that weren’t preposterous enough, they banned all Jews from the auditorium during his speech!
In a followup article, the Jerusalem Post reports that university vice president, Amos Gaver, will think twice about inviting hate speech to the campus, implying that the university supposedly learned its lesson from this.
But, here’s the kicker: when responding to complaints about the judenrein auditorium, his response was “our intention, by keeping the protesters out of the auditorium, was simply to prevent the situation from becoming violent.”
So, let me get this straight: they invite a violent, hostile, rabblerousing Islamic extremist to give an incendiery speech on their campus, and that’s supposedly not going to cause a violent situation… it’s only the people that might actually oppose such an event that would cause the violence? Does it not cross their pea-sized little brains not to invite such violent people to their campus in the first place? It takes an outraged response like the one that followed to make them realize that doing so is just not a good idea in the first place?

I previously posted about the latest rash of scandalous photos coming out of Afghanistan showing U.S. military atrocities under Obama’s command, and wondering if the media would pick up on it the way they did when it was Bush’s army… Well, here’s a twist I wasn’t expecting: yes, one of the U.S. media, Rolling Stone, [...]
Jeffrey Goldberg, a correspondent for the Atlantic, cast a spotlight on yet another disgustingly overt example of pure bias in the mainstream media, particularly at the anti-Semitic Reuters newswire. He points to a Reuters news item which contains the following despicable sentences: Police said it was a “terrorist attack” — Israel’s term for a Palestinian [...]
In the [sparse] reporting of the Palestinians’ massacre of the Fogel family, several newspapers stand out with their distorted sense of “balance”, i.e., where they feel overwhelmingly uncomfortable describing the barbarity of the Palestinians without at least taking a swipe or two at the Israelis, no matter how patently irrelevant or disgustingly disrespectful it comes [...]
