Tacky, Hideous Birthday Cake

In what has to be the tackiest, most hideous display of “cake bling”, Obama’s birthday cake for his 48th birthday really… um… takes the cake.
Carissa DiMargo of NBC Washington actually wrote up a whole entertaining piece just about this cake, in which she has some pretty funny observations, like:
It looks like the Cake Boss’s disgruntled ex karate-chopped the frosting bag.
and, even better:
And then there’s the “44.” We all know he’s the 44th president, but come on, it’s his 48th birthday. Are we celebrating his birthday, or celebrating that he’s president? Wait, don’t answer that.
