Turkey has been ramping up its anti-Israel rhetoric and anti-Semitism in recent months. This has been evident for a while in the news, with many Turkish diplomats (all the way up to the Prime Minister) slamming Israel, snubbing Israel, etc. (e.g., Turkey recently banning Israel from a joint NATO air force drill).
