Why bother fighting the Democrats when they’re so busy fighting amongst themselves already?
Even with a filibuster-proof majority in Congress, they still can’t get the votes to pass their party-line version of the bill.
So, they have their president threaten non-conforming Senators, like Obama reportedly did with Ben Nelson (D-NE), threatening to shut down an air force base employing 10,000 Nebraskans, national security be damned, if Nelson doesn’t fall into line with the Dems’ health care plan (see the story here)!
And, here you have former presidential primary nominee Howard Dean writing an opinion piece in the Washington Post slamming the health care bill and saying that he would vote “no”.
The GOP really doesn’t have to do much more than just sit back and watch the Dems self-destruct.
