Nelson Faces A Backlash

In the wake of Senator Ben Nelson’s (D-NE) widely discussed vote, new polls are showing him losing the next election by a margin of 61-30! That’s the great news; I really hope that every idiot who voted for this bill gets canned in their next election.
The bad news, though, is that the next election for Nelson’s seat isn’t until 2012. That gives him a lot of time to fight the horrible publicity he got from this vote. Let’s hope that his constituents have a long memory (which they may not actually even need, once they start feeling the repercussions of this outrageous bill).
