Our old “friends”, the French, are at it again, this time accusing us of “occupying” Haiti! Maybe the U.S. should start thinking about just sitting out the next few disasters and letting the world crumble away while all the ungrateful idiots around the globe suddenly are faced with much more responsibility and dire consequences. (Hey, let’s see how the French would solve this one. Come to think of it, how have they helped Haiti so far?!)

Speaking of “occupation”… funny how it gets used more and more these days, and not just for Israel. Like so many people have said all along: if Israel is not staunchly defended and all the world’s ridiculous accusations pointed out for their stupidity and invalidated, it’s just a slippery slope until the United States is accused of all the same things.

I recently discussed a new crusade the French are embarking on against the burqas in their midst. Well, apparently, al Qaeda finally decided to take up the challenge and has now issued a call for “all Muslims to confront this hostility with greater hostility, and to counter France’s efforts to divide male and female believers from their faith with a greater effort … (by) adherence to the teachings of their Islamic sharia.”

They also say that they “will take revenge for the honour of our daughters and sisters against France and against its interests by every means at our disposal.”

So, I guess the real question now is whether or not France will do what it usually does in these situations, i.e., surrender, or if they will suddenly grow a spine and fight al Qaeda’s calls for violence along with their new battle against the Islamo-misogynistic burqa.

Breitbart is reporting an AP story about Sarkozy’s new crusade against burqas, where he is commissioning a panel to study the growing burqa trend in France. Even more surprising, Sarkozy came out with the strong political (and politically incorrect) statement that that “the burqa is not a religious sign, it’s a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement… it will not be welcome on the territory of the French Republic.”

Now, while this is a nice development for the Fifth Republic, it just seems like too little too late. Instead of taking a hard look at all the Muslim fanatics (some of whom are undoubtedly terrorists) that France has been admitting and harboring for quite a few years now—the source of the newly-unacceptable burqa—he chooses to instead wake up now and look at the product of France’s dangerous immigration policies.

When Muslims were burning down half of the capital not too long ago, it didn’t seem to shake anyone up enough to look at the growing Muslic fanatic problem. When Muslims turned up the anti-Semitism from mere rhetoric to numerous physical assaults against Jews, most of them disgustingly and heinously inhuman, France wanted to sweep it all under the carpet without even calling many of them by the hate-crime label they clearly deserved.

So, what is it about the burqa that is finally making the president of France come out with such strong, harsh words and to actually commission panels? And, the more serious follow-up question: can this finally open their lethargic, heavy-lidded eyes to the growing Muslim fanatic problem that they have in their country? Or will they wait until the Muslims are finally in the majority and sharia law is voted in?

After telling his own country how we have to heal our country’s image in the world, and after completing a large part of his Worldwide Apology Tour, where he goes from country to country telling people how terribly the United States has wronged everyone and anyone… Obama then goes and shows up in Paris and snubs the French leader’s invitation to dinner. Check out this article in the UK’s Times Online.

Here’s an excerpt:

The Obamas turn up in Paris this evening, but have declined a dinner invitation from the couple next door: the Sarkozys.

President Obama’s reluctance to spend more than minimum time with the French leader on his visit for the D-Day anniversary has come as an embarrassment to the Elysée Palace.

America’s First Family will not be dining with President Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni, even though they are staying at the residence of the US Ambassador, yards from the Elysée apartments where the Sarkozys spend their weekends.
